Once a month\, Lorena will guide you as you create your own masterpiece sampler quilt. Classes are guided by the needs of the students and loosely structured to cover block and layout design\, different methods of construction including machine and hand piecing options\, applique techniques and English paper piecing. With 2001 block options ranging from the idiosyncratic to the traditional there are enough blocks for a lifetime of quilts! (All students are required to own a copy of the book\, available from MO).

DESCRIPTION:Opal Essence\, Lorena Uriarte \n{TWO CLASSES NOW AVAILABLE – contact Alison directly at Cotton Factory} \nOne day Workshop at Cotton Factory\, Ballarat. \nClass size will be limited to 14 people. The class will be held off site from Cotton Factory (as that’s just too squeezy for our lovely space)\, with full details emailed to all participants. \nThis is Lorena’s original pattern. In this one day class you will learn the techniques to complete this quilt in a variety of sizes. Quilt blocks can be appliqued or machine pieced and then machine or hand pieced together. \nAcrylic template sets will be included in your class fee. Class notes including templates and a colouring sheet to assist with quilt design will also provided. \nSpecific techniques taught in this class: Needle turn applique\, machine pieced curves and y-seams. \nTuition\, pattern\, templates\, drinks\, lunch\, coffee and tea are all included in your class fee. \nSpecific class requirements will be sent closer to the class date.
