Description
This is the link to pay for attending my Kawandi Workshop in WARRIEWOOD.
✂️🪡🧵
Come and play with fabric as you learn some of the techniques employed by the Siddi people to make Kawandi quilts. A relaxing and enjoyable way to work with needle, fabric and thread. The technique can then be used to make quilts, coverlets, cushions, bags and even clothing.
When, where, how much…
10am – 3pm on Saturday 30th April at Warriewood, plenty of parking is available on site.
A $110 fee covers your complete kit with fabric, needle and thread to make a small piece. Catering is also provided with a healthy lunch, yummy baked treats, tea & coffee.
If you’d like to make the Retreat Bag – a kit containing all the hardware and interfacing will be available to purchase. I will demonstrate the construction on the day but it’s unlikely you will finish your two kawandi panels and sewing your zipper pouch all in one day.
If you’ve already learnt the technique and want to sew the bag, let me know and I’ll send you the list of what you need to prepare before the day!
😃
It’s a nice small class size, capped at 8 attendees in a well ventilated classroom, comfy N95s are available for anyone who needs one. I’m testing regularly now that I’m teaching again and I ask that students do the same before class to keep everyone safe.
Please contact me if you have specific dietary requests or colour preferences for your workshop kit.
